Hi Loves, sorry this is so late and that I’ve been a bit MIA. Life has really knocked me for six so I’ve been struggling a bit. But it’s here, better late than never hopefully xo
A bold statement lip has become one of my staples, but a red lip can still be daunting even for me. That being said I think it can take your look to another level and is a must have for anyone who loves make-up.
I have a lippie for everyone in this line up. From the novice to the pro, bargain to blow out. I’ve kept it classic and went for that “Christmas” red, but do keep in mind that these are what I’ve chosen for me. Meaning they suit my skin tone, hair colouring and style, they may not work for everyone.
I’ve also decided to throw in matching nail varnish. I love matchy matchy so if I can match my lippie and my nails, I’m all over it!

I’m sure you’ve guessed by now that I’m huge fan of Halloween. I used to have big Parties when I was younger and always love to do some bakes and have a girly movie night!
It’s a perfect time to crack out my more vampy shades that I’m mad for! I have seven options for you, one for each day of Halloween week.
Some are better than other, but I LOVE the colour of each one and the wear or bleeding is a small price to pay in my eyes!
1. Revlon – Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Infatuation (675)
I love these Liquid Lippies, I think they will defo be featuring in my 2017 Ride or Dies. This is a deep wine colour, that I just can’t get enough of! It wears really well! It does bleed a bit, but most lippies do on me so it doesn’t bother me. The colour pay of is amazing and the lasting power is good. The best thing about these lippies are the feel on the lips. They are not drying and I never feel the need to chew my face off when I wear them. The price isn’t half bad either, coming in at £8.99. Hence why I love them!!
Since 2014 I’ve become obsessed with lippie, so much so that some might even say it’s my signature look, and that I have a problem…
As you probably know over Christmas last year I loved the Barry M Lip Crayon, but really wasn’t impressed with the packaging. I’m terrible like that, I could love a product and if the packaging is crap I just can’t get past it.
I’d been eyeing up the Gelly Hi Shine crayons for a while, but for some reason never took the plunge. In January the plunge was taken and I was not disappointed.
From the first application I was in love! The scent… we need to talk about the scent. It’s like sweets and chocolate and all the good stuff!! As a sugar monster I couldn’t resist. Currently I only have two shades I’m not going to lie I have no idea which ones they are coz it’s not written on them.
So it’s official, I’m obsessed with lip colour! Today is yet another lip product review. I was wandering about Boots as I usually do on my lunch and told myself I could treat myself to one new product. I’ve been playing it quite safe with all my staple products so I seem to be buying up a shit load of lip products, like a stupid amount!
One of the brands I come back to for foundation for all the time is Revlon. It never lets me down. So I thought to myself, why not try a few other products. Well obviously there is LOADS to choose from, but I was drawn to the Untra HD Matte Lipcolours. I really liked the shape of the packaging if I’m being honest, I also am all about the matte lip products and it was a number of months ago when EVERYONE and thier mother was talking about liquid lip colours. So of course the sheep that I am bought one! As I was restricting myself to only getting one I wanted to get one that I could wear with any make-up look, I ended up going for this nude ish colour.
Lippie is a new found love of mine. I used to only wear glosses or balms and when I did start buying lip stick I usually went for a nude but in one of my many jobs one of the girls had similar colouring to me and always had an array of statement lip colours. I was sold! I began dabbling in colour and the rest is history.
Over the Christmas I was all about the red lip of course. I couldn’t get enough of it. The one I kept reaching for was this Barry M Lip Crayon in Red. I have another colour, a pink, but it’s not for me. I have to be very careful about what pinks I wear and they just look CRAZY… so long story short this pink shade number 2 is not for me but, the red shade number 5 , I’m LOVING. This shade is a classic red so it will work for so many colourings. It was one I reached for most over the Christmas period because of its shade, it’s the perfect Christmas red!
This is the most beautiful lip balm you will ever use!! It was featured in my January/February Favs video and like everything I’ve been using it for months, and love love love it!! I only have one flavour! I hope to try them all but I try not to get too many as I couldn’t possibly use them all and then it just feels like a waist! Ye know. The one I chose was mint and chocolate of course! I’m a huge fan of chocolate so when it’s in products I’m all over it!
My original attractions to this brand was their candles! My friend Juls got me one for Christmas, I said it smelt like toilet… in my head that was a positive, I was more thinking like fancy hotel toilet that have fragrances pumping through them but I’m not sure that came across, awkward! Typical Schweppe. Anyway… Now I’m obsessed with the candles! I’ve had every fragrance in nearly every size. I think the quality is fantastic! The scents are really unusual and the fact they are organic is a dream!
