I’ve been on the hunt for a new drugstore mascara, of course, didn’t know where to start. At the time it was just after Christmas and there were a few Christmas sets on sale. I’d been thinking of trying a few things from Soap & Glory so when I saw the set was on sale and there was a mascara and an eyeliner in it I was sold!
I ended up not trying the mascara for a few months because I’ve been trying to use up a product before moving onto the next. I’m still going strong with this! I hadn’t heard anything about the Soap & Glory mascara so didn’t know what to expect. As it was a gift set I couldn’t actually see what the wand would be like or the eyeliner, which was funny coz I can be SUPER fuzzy about them. I realise now I could have just gone down to the stand.
Hello lovelies, so this weeks post is a bit different. It’s that time of year again so of course Reasons is on the agenda! This year is no different! As always the excitement is brewing with-in me and of course Pinterest is my go to and with the new changes they’ve put into place, I’ve fallen back in love.
Here’s a quick look at my top festival MakeUp Looks from Pinterest and why!
- The Sheer Glitter Under Eye:
This is actually tricker to replicate then I thought so bare in mind if you wanna try replicate this you will need time, and a few small makeup brushes. This look has definitely inspired this years Reasons UK MakeUp Look.
Ok… Round two on writing this blog post! I need to stop blindly relying on the internet connection, So annoying.
I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, I’m obsessed with minis! I’m not really sure why to be honest, but it’s something that I’ve always gravitated to. I just think they are so cute, and of course so convenient.
Make-up wise I think it’s such a great way to try new products without the commitment! So when I saw on instagram that MAC would be bringing out minis lipsticks, I was rather excited! Purhaps a bit too excited!
My local MAC stockist is Voisons Department store, their MAC counter has their own instagram account so I pretty much spent a week checking it at every spare moment. Once they popped up I ran down on my break to get myself FAUX.
Unfortunately I hadn’t really thought about the fact that they probably would do EVERY single mac lippie in a mini, but I was quite confident that FAUX would be one of the chosen ones. Well… I was wrong!
I can’t lie, I was a bit miffed and I’m sure my face showed it! But I had the pleasure of being helped by the lovely Sandra (her Instagram is @vintagebellavitta). She’s always great and super helpful! So of course I walked out with two new mini lippies.
Like everything this year, this is late but as this week was my birthday I thought it would be the perfect time upload my birthday wish list.
1. Diptyque Candle
I adore candles, and for as long as I can remember a Diptyque candle has been on my wish list. I have no idea what scent or type I just know I would like one! ha ha
Sorry this is late! I was hoping to get it up on Thursday, but yet again that didn’t happen! I think I’ve got a new scheduling plan in place that I think will better suit my lifestyle. What I’ve been doing for the past however many years clearly isn’t working so I’m gonna change it up and see how we go.
I’m so excited to chat about this product! I have always wanted some Charlotte Tilbury and had been hinting for year. Finally “Santie” got the hint and brought me the Instant Look In Palette. I didn’t realise that there were three options, but the one I got was the Beauty Glow edition from Feelunique.
I was so so so excited to try it! I had heard so much hype from other bloggers and youtubers and knew it was going to be good! I was so good I even took the time to restrain myself and take photos.
Hi Loves, sorry this is so late and that I’ve been a bit MIA. Life has really knocked me for six so I’ve been struggling a bit. But it’s here, better late than never hopefully xo
A bold statement lip has become one of my staples, but a red lip can still be daunting even for me. That being said I think it can take your look to another level and is a must have for anyone who loves make-up.
I have a lippie for everyone in this line up. From the novice to the pro, bargain to blow out. I’ve kept it classic and went for that “Christmas” red, but do keep in mind that these are what I’ve chosen for me. Meaning they suit my skin tone, hair colouring and style, they may not work for everyone.
I’ve also decided to throw in matching nail varnish. I love matchy matchy so if I can match my lippie and my nails, I’m all over it!

Hello my little Magpies,
As you may have noticed I’ve become a small bit obsessed with lip products. So much so that I finally treated myself to some high end ones.
Where I live (Jersey CI) there is a department store called De Gruchy who, at the time, had a YSL stand. I was pottering about the make-up department and spotted a crowd around the “discount” table. Sure I had to pop over and have a nosey.
What I found was a delight! YSL make-up on discount, eeee. I was a very excited and a bit overwhelmed. Like all discount areas it was messy, well no that’s not 100% true, it was organised as much as a discount table could be. Anyway I’m getting off topic. There was lots of make-up and skincare, at the time I didn’t realise, but they were going through some changes and were actually in the process of getting rid of the YSL concession.
Long story short I picked up a number of items. I was super keen to get a one of the Rouge Volupté Shine. I had no idea what colour I wanted, but I walked away with 47 Beige Blouse. I thought I’d seen Anna Secona mention this one so I blindly bought it!
For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted YSL things. They are just so lux in my eyes, so I decided the discounted prices couldn’t be missed! I was also going through a bit of a tough time so shopping seemed to be the answer. I just couldn’t stop myself, if it seemed like a good deal, I was getting it!

Over time I’ve built up quite a collection. Palettes, lippies, nail varnish and skincare. I think let’s start with nail varnish. I’ ve got some very unique ones I have to say.
I love the colours they bring out but I think if I’m buying any full price I think I’ll stick with really wearable colours like reds and browns. I would also consider investing in the top coat as the one I have transfers a lot.
