MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder

Powder is a necessity for me as I have very oily skin! I’m also an acne sufferer, so when a powder is colour correcting, I am all over it!!!

MUA is a brand I have never tried before but I was in Limerick and sure of course you have to pop into superdrug; and anyway long story short I saw this so it went in the basket.

It comes in a nice clean compact with a branded see through rounderd lid where inside the product is rounded too. It has four colours which combat different thing: the lilac illuminates and mutes yellow undertones, the green neutralises and reduces redness, the yellow brightens and conceals purple tones, and the peach adds radiance.

I use the powder in two different ways; I blend all the colours together and use it as an all over powder to combat shine. Then I use the stand alone colours. I mostly use the green, for obvious reasons, to target the blemishes but I also use it at the sides of my nose to combat the redness there too. I use the yellow to set my under eye concealer and help to hide the dark circles! Occasionally I’ll use the peach to lightly highlight/illuminate the hole eye area, bit more in an eyeshadow base kinda way.

This a great powder and all the MUA products are super affordable, I’m unsure if superdrug is the only stockist in Ireland but here is a like to the product on their website And as far as I know nowhere in Jersey stocks it; coz Jersey has NOTHING!!

It’s a really nice powder and the consistency on the face is very nice, very light and comparable to the texture of a translucent loose powder! Unfortunately my skin is VERY oily and with this product I need to reapply a number of time throughout the day. BUT… for someone who just wants a bit of colour correcting and more of a setting powder as opposed to a mattifying , I think you’ll love this!!

Do you have any powder that you are loving for oily skin? Let me know!
