Revlon Colourstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin

Foundation is a key part of my make-up routine. I think anyone with acne will agree. Sometimes I find it very difficult to find a nice foundation tha has good colour, amazing coverage, and that lasts all day.

I have found it with my Holy Grail foundation revlon colorstay! I love love love Revlon Colourstay Foundation oily/combination skin, not only is it a good price (about €18) but it is the best foundation I have ever used. I like and feel I need a full coverage foundation and this one does exactly that!  The coverage is amazing straight away but this does mean that it’s a bit heavier than other foundations but with full coverage this usually happens.

It comes in a variety of colours but the one I use is 180 Sand Beige, this is a good match for when I’m choco. I have used it with many brushes, my hands, a sponge and it works great with all of them but, as of late I tend to use my Sigma Duo Fibre – F50 to apply this.

It has a nice liquid consistency, has a lovely velvet like feel when applied and it works onto the skin like a dream. It gives amazing even coverage, and a flawless finish. The best part is that it lasts all day! I mean mean all day! I very rarely have to any thing other then maybe add a bit of powder to my nose. I will say that when using primers this is a different story so thats something to be aware of!

The packaging is soooo boring and it really annoys me that there is no pump… even if they did like mac do and supply a pump that you can buy separately i think that would be the best idea. Its glass so it can be recycled which is good and if you leave the bottle upside down for long enough you will be able to get out as much product as humanly possible!!

If you have not tried it already I urge you to at least get a tester. Once you go Revlon Colourstay you’ll never go back.

Is there a foundation that you think might be the one to beat Revlon? Let me know.

      Hi there Gillian,

Thanks so much for your interest in my blog! A lot of places provide testers. If you bring a small tub to boots and ask the staff there they should hopefully provide you with a sample.

Let me know how you get on 🙂
